Paddlesports are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. By taking part, we accept these risks and take responsibility for our own actions and involvement.
Report a safety incident
An incident form must be completed when there is any accident, injury, near miss or other significant event involving a club member (during a club activity), club equipment or on club property.
You need to complete a Paddle UK Incident Report Form and send a copy of the confirmation email to safety@marlowcc.org.uk.
Policies
The club has a duty of care towards people taking part in club activities. You can read about how we keep people safe in our Health and Safety Manual. Our Duty Officer policy describes how we supervise straightforward local club sessions in a safe environment.
Risk Assessments
We have made a General Risk Assessment of the likely hazards that could be encountered on all club activities. If you are taking part in club sessions that involve white water activities, night paddling or the pool, we have a specific risk assessment for each of these which should be read in addition to this. All the Risk Assessments are downloadable below.
