🚣 July-August 2025 ☀️

Hello there paddlers!

A reminder that we have now moved from under the bridge to Marlow Sports Club (Pound Lane, SL7 2AE). Sessions continue to run to our summer schedule:

🌙 Tuesday & Thursday (18.15 arrival, on the water for 19.00) – Paddle up to Hurley and back, or shoot the weir in a whitewater boat.

🍰 Saturday & Sunday (09.15 arrival, on the water for 10.00) – Paddle up to Hurley, or down to The Bounty, and back. Remember water, your own flask and snack, now the tea shop is closed.

Keep an eye on the Facebook page for updates on river conditions and potential cancellations.

🏠 Our new home: Quick recap on Marlow Sports Club
A map of our new site at Marlow Sports Club

ADDRESS & ACCESS: We’ve officially moved (at least temporarily!). Find us at Marlow Sports Club (Pound Lane, SL7 2AE). Look out for Horizon Rehabilitation signs – they’re more visible than the Sports Club sign by the green entrance gate. The height restrictor when closed is 2.1m.

PARKING: Follow signs for ‘Additional Parking’, and park to the left of the hockey pitches. Our new containers are behind the hockey pitch – entrance is through the wooden gate opposite the Petanque pitch.

TIMINGS: The gate will be locked 15 minutes before club sessions, so please aim to arrive closer to 45 minutes before we get on the water to find kit and get familiar with the new setup. We’re still aiming to be on the water at the usual times, though please bear with us if things run a little later while we get used to the new logistics.

FACILITIES: We’ve got our own changing rooms by the containers and access to the sports club toilets and bar(!!).

Thanks for your patience as we settle in. And an EVEN BIGGER THANK YOU to all the superheroes who’ve given up their time and leant their skills to help us get to where we are – particularly to Steve these past few weeks for gathering the troops and keeping everything in check!

🛟 Kit Check & Important Disclaimer

Donating gear? Thank you! Just be sure to check expiry dates – especially for helmets and buoyancy aids (BAs). Also, take a moment to check your own kit’s condition and replace if needed. A reminder that club BAs are sized by weight, not shape – labels in the back will guide you.

Please take a moment to read our updated safety disclaimer:

I understand that paddling is an assumed risk activity. It is not possible to eliminate all risks from paddling and that there will always be some risk of personal injury or death. The club has published a Health and Safety manual that lays down the responsibilities of club officers and members. I agree that I will cooperate with club officials and members to protect the safety and wellbeing of members and others who may be affected by club activities and meet my responsibilities as laid down in the Club Health and Safety manual and Club Code of Conduct.
